Step 2
A 180°C oven is to be used. A 1/2 tbsp of oil should be brushed onto 2 big baking pans. In a small bowl, combine the butter and the remaining 1 1/2 tbsp oil.
Step 3 Scrape the potato's curved side lengthwise with a fork. Place on the ready trays in a single layer, cut-side down. Apply a butter mixture brush. For 50 minutes, or until golden brown, roast, basting once with the butter mixture. To serve, season with sea salt.
home cooking
NOTESMake this recipe two and a half hours in advance. Place in a heat-resistant serving bowl. Place the dish in the oven to warm it fifteen minutes prior to serving. Oven space tip: In step 3, while the turkey roasts on the lower shelf, cook the potatoes in two batches, one tray at a time, on the top shelf of the oven. As the turkey is resting, reheat in the oven with the balsamic-glazed carrots. Purchasing potatoes Parboiling potatoes in step 1 is the key to making them crispy. Make sure the potatoes you purchase are roughly the same size so they cook evenly and look better served. Use Sebago or Desiree potatoes in their place if Caliban potatoes aren't available. Allocate 30 minutes for chilling.
